I think you've got a bit of a misunderstanding going on here.
You don't need to replace your current amd GPu to use an nvidia GPU.You can have both(maybe).
Depending on your particular system, all you need to do is add a second gpu of the nvidia type.
The system i'm typing this on, a dell precision t3600, has an amd HD 5770 and a P106-100,
The 5770 handles video, the p106 handles rendering.
I pretty much use the same mixing of gpus in all my systems.
My primary server/workstation, Firepro S9000 and a p106-100.
My render server uses a Quadro NVS 510 and a tesla M40.
And various and sundry mixes of Teslas, firepros, and what ever display adapter was cheapest on ebay that week.
As long as the drivers or other software doesn't create a conflict, i'll use it.
At the minimum, for DS v4.15
COnsumer:GTX 980 Ti or GTX Titan X
Professional:Quadro M4000, m5000, or m6000(12 or 24GB).
Computational: Tesla M40(12 or 24GB)
These are all maxwell series and are currently deprecated, meaning they will no longer be supported in some, as yet to be announced, version of DS.
Pascal series
Consumer: GTX 1060(6GB), 1070, or 1080.
Professional:Quadro p4000, p5000, or p6000.
Computational:Tesla P4, p40 or p100.
Other:P106-100(6GB)
Turing
Consumer: RTX 1660, 2060, 2070, 2080, or titan rtx.
Professional: Quadro RTX 4000, 5000, 6000, or 8000
Computational: Tesla T4
Ampere
Consumer: RTX 30XX
Professional: RTX A6000, A40
Computational:RTX A100
For some of the above list, i put them there, because they have at least 6GB of Vram. I consider this to be the absolute minimum for, practical, work in DS.
You can use gpus with less, but it will be severly limiting.
I'm also not considering the card for use as both a display adapter and a render card, but only for rendering.
My big caveat here is that, not all systems can support mixing gpus, or can, adequately, handle multiple gpus, or GPUS with 12GB or more of ram, or having multiple high vram GPUS.
So, your saying I can get this graphics card Nvidia Tesla K80 24GB GDDR5 CUDA Cores Graphic Cards, for rendering only and Daz will work more smoother and faster with it and render faster too?
because this graphics card has "NO" video ports just a WorkStation card,
here's its spects: Price $399.99 <---- cheapest one I can find with More Vram and High Cuda Cores...
I am need something to ease the stress off my CPU and render faster and show the Iray Hairs and stuff on the Daz Display.
That is a Kepler GPU and as of DS 4.14.0.8 with Iray 2020.1.1 no longer supported (=not working at all) for rendering in IRAY.

4.14.0.8 (November 10, 2020)
Okay, then which Video card or Graphics card from Nvidia for no more then tops $700. dollars would be worth the bother then??
Hmm, this all seems very, very "FISHY" like a scam between Nvidia and Daz Studio to create and make NEW updates for IRay and stuff for Daz and then Nvidia, inc makes Newer Cards that cost over $1k to $3k to support Daz's new update Iray system!!!
cause all the Video cards and graphic cards you guys mentions like 1080 and so on, I did search on Amazon and their all over priced of $1k up!!!
No lower video cards for a cheap price even the 6GB and 4 Gb and 2 Gb ones are high price for a low powered card.
so in order to have a good Power house video card from Nvidia, inc like 8Gb to 12GB or so so you can have for multible purposes like gaming and Video recording on Youtube and doing video editing and Zbrush sculpting and Digital graphic painting, you have to spend out over $1k dollars for one!!!
I won't buy a card thats just 2Gb or 4gb or 6GB thats not enough memory for my Buisness for work or gaming playing!!!
and plus, if I get just a graphics card with No video ports will Daz studio see that right without doing anything else?
Would this card work and pas your judgement?

What about this video card?

I think this one be good. what you guys think?

Yes, any flavour of 1080 is fine. Those prices are ridiculous and it looks like none of them are available!
The way I got hold of a new RTX 3060 12GB and still keep the price vaguely reasonable, was to order it in a pre-built system.
That may be more than your budget, but it may also be the only way to obtain any graphics card right now!
Right now is the absolute worst time to be GPU shopping. You will be competing with scalpers using bots, miners, and other average customers in a speed clicking contest to have even a chance at one. And Newegg at least is actually selling them in a type of lottery called the Newegg Shuffle.
3 things you need to look for in a GPU for fast renders are
1. VRAM
2. Number of CUDA Cores.
3. Number of RTX/Tensor cores.
If you run out of #1, the rest won't matter.
Personally, I'm trying to score the 12GB 3060.
thanks Prixat I got this one, and thanks for the Help and Support dude :)

If I'm rendering with 4. 12 ... will a kepler card still work?
video gaming = graphics
Thanks all posters for the info in this thread, I'm returning to Hobby 3D rendering after quite a break (my first product order online from Daz was in 2005 & my most recent one was 2012) Back then I was Poser/Bryce but the Daz Studio seems to really have progressed in leaps and bounds in my haiatus.
Ive just configured an online PC to purchase:
Gigabyte X570 ATX mobo
AMD RYZEN 5 5600X
32GB DDR4
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming OC 12GB R2.0 LHR Graphics Card
Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 850W - TT Premium Edition Power Supply
The Mobo & PS overkill are in the hope that down the track a bit when all this crazyness is over & newer Nvidia cards are released I have the option to purchase another 3060 at a cheaper price to add a second card.
You never know.... i might get lucky lol
Matt :-)
Theoretically ... I do have a 4.12 on my win 7 machine so I could do iray on that doubling up the titanx with the k80?
Well, I have the parts to try that.
And I have the win 10 machine up and running 423 so I can access the new tools.
Just need a few more hours in the day.
Will try to post info on this.
It is a workstation/server board with dual xeons so does have room for both cards and runs cool anyway.
