Reflect me - mirrors

I would like the effect of mirrors so much and I already tried so hard with the help of easy appearing tutorials - but without success! All I can get is an approach of a reflection.
Now I found the "Reflect me Mirror set" with a reflection map included. Do you think, this would it make things easier?

If you want real reflections in DAZ Studio then you need the right surface settings (reflection strength non-zero, no map applied to reflection colour), you need the object facing the mirror to be lit on that side, and you need to be using the 3Delght render engine not the OpenGL modes.

Thank you, dear Richard! This is what I heard before but I won't renounce trying again and again. But what are the reflection maps for which come with the mirror set?

reflection maps are for when there is nothing else in the scene for the object to reflect, you use the map to make it look like it's reflecting something, There are actually a number of shader presets that you can use for reflective surfaces, two of which I use quite frequently (and both are free). The first is the Ultimate Shader Pack. It includes a set of Chrome shaders (with reflection maps which can be removed), including several different "Silver" chrome shaders, a Brass shader, and polished Gold. IF you don't use the reflection maps, you do need to adjust the reflection color settings to keep the various hues the maps otherwise provide. the second set is the Super Shine Shader pack. This pack does not come with reflection maps. It's intended more for glossy painted surfaces, such as a car's paint job, and uses seamless "paint" swatch texture maps in the Diffuse Color. The attached image below uses both a Silver Chrome and Polished Gold Chrome (reflection maps removed and reflection color adjusted to compensate on the gold) from the Ultimate Shader Pack, and both dark blue and black paint from the Super Shine Shader Pack.
