Hello to everyone here at the Daz3D community. I'm an up and coming 3D artist who wants to use Daz (and other programs if need be) to create comic books. I've been reading/watching tutorials and have been using the software for a few months and am doing pretty well so far but there are still a lot of questions I have.

Is there a way I can combine clothing on other models then what that particular model the apparel is meant for? (Genesis clothing for K4 models, etc.) Is there a way I can edit pre-existing environments to make them look more original?

I was wondering if I could get the e-mail - or some other contact info - of a Daz Studio veteran who's been using Daz for a while and can give some expert long term advice.

My e-mail is [email protected]. Please let me know if you are willing to help me out.

Advice ............. That's what this forum is for, is why it is called the New Users Help Forum. Ask your questions and someone will try to answer them for you.

Clothing well there is a considerable amount of backwards compatibility, so K4 clothing can be fitted to Genesis, but Genesis clothing to the older figures is trickier.

Altering environments. Yes that is what we tend to call "Kit Bashing" Use elements from two or more sets to build a setting that suits your purpose. Make your own customised textures and materials to further change them. Many of us do this with clothing sets as well, to make different outfits.

Thanks and one other question. Would it be possible to market these comics and make money from them as long as I give credit to the original model designers?

It is related to every single product despite it is commercial of free product, the only way to know it, is reading the license that always come included in the product's package, (usually license.txt) it will say you if the product can be used in commercial renders or not.

Anything you buy at Daz, yes, no credit needed. Other sites youdd have to read their agreements. Freebies are usually negative so download with care and install non-commercial ones to a separate runtime/content so you don't accidentally use them.
