Accessibility of Daz Products - Will past orders always be available for download?

Hi there,

over the last three years I have spent a lot of money on DAZ products and I am now just wondering if I should back them up or will my DAZ account always allow me to acces these products through the Install Manager or DAZ Central again?

What would be the most elegant way to back them up?
Should I download all files manually from the store by accessing my orders?

I've been a Daz customer since 2004 and all my purchases have been available for redownload since then, even for products not available in the store anymore.

If you want to make a backup you could use DIM to download everything and backup its download folder, and use manual download for items not available via DIM if you have any. That would be quicker than downloading everything manually.

you can also setup a new runtime as a clean backup

    Just for completeness, two caveats:

    1) While past purchases have always been available, to my knowledge Daz3D has never promised or guaranteed this.

    2) If the product is updated, you probably won't be able to get the prior version.

I have lots of content I love from vendors that are long gone.

Although the past purchases seem to be available "forever", if the need arises, do you really want to download everything again over the net?

External 4-5TB USB drives are cheap.

If you bought them here, you should still be able to re-download them.

Aye.  I have products in my product library back to last century, and still avaliable for download.  PA names that no one remembers now.

Same for me I purchased content here at daz and can still download it even though some of the pa's are not here any more. like Nayn Cat. But I am happy I am so OCD I compress and back everything i have from RuntineDNA, Hivewire3D, content paradise, which all have since gone out of business.  so as a precaution I  download and store as backup everything i buy from Daz3d.com and Renderosity.com turbosquid. DA. to date 5 2TB HHD full of content..lol

    No, you must back up!

I do a secondary Content folder on an external drive, first time is all 100% Copy Paste, then I do "Sunday syncs" using  Synkron.

many figures are not available anymore like the Sanctum Art figures, because I did external isolated backup I can use in this 2021.

Alright! So I will take a regular backup seriously, which I need to do anyway.
    Thank you!
