Lost content categories and can't restore it

I tried following a support instruction to save character selection (figure, hair, surface and clothing) but in trying it I found this did not work and has broken the DAZ Studio. At first I found the Smart Content had lost all the categories and there did not seem to be a way to restore them, all the content seemed to be dumped in to one thing showing under all products. I have since completely uninstalled and reinstalled DAZ Studio and all content in the assets list but now nothing at all appears in the Smart Content except the last purchase which is greyed out and locked and only appears in the "All" bottom tab. How do I restore this to as it was before?

in case your smart content is empty
run "content db maintenace" and "re import metadata"

the re import feature read all installed  ".dsx" found in ":runtime/support" folders of any library

I wasn't referring to the search there is nothing in the bar on the left, it is the same if the search bar is empty. Everything is only in the same product, as well as that the last purchase will not show as installed in DAZ Studio despite being installed.

"Smart" (not) content, categories, products, etc. all rely on the information inside the database to be correct, which quite often is not the case.

I have managed to get the content list back but I have noticed there are a few products missing that were installed before and show as installed in DC, how do I get these back?

Thanks for the support, it is now solved, I Imported Metadata then reset the content library again and they are all there although they don't automatically install anymore, is there a way to change this?
