Icons to start vanished - solved sort of

Updated to 4.15 several days ago and all has worked fine until tonight. Went to use the program and all places where I had the Icon used to start the program have vanished. Tried looking in the DAZ3D directories but can't even find an exe file. Any suggestions, where they went, or why they were deleted, and what to do now.

Windows 7 pro service pack 1, nVidia GTX 1080 TI.

Did re-install (twice) before it worked. Still don't know why, but at least it's useable for now.

    When things vanish my reaction would be to close off from the web and run the AV scanner. If other items are missing too - there used to be an online AV scanner to help clean out thoroughly infected machines.

    However you installed the program, reinstall it? {make sure it's not being installed to the cloud or some such strange place}.

    D/S does not uninstall itself.

    If you were using W10 [W7 is no longer supported] and had installed to external drives - then those icons would vanish when the computer is run and the external is not plugged in.

    NEVER open any email attachments that say "message.txt"
