Parent/Child drag and drop isn't working...

I'm trying to make the candle holders a child to the candle stands (as a parent) in ''The Study Expansion Pack 3''. It worked for one pair, won't work for any others. What am I missing? Or am I just stupid? Using DS 4.5.

    I usually just grab (left-click and hold) the thing in the Scene tab, and drag it up to the thing I want it to be a child of. I've noticed a few things that get in the way of this.

    I go to click around the text for the item, and Studio thinks I want to rename it, oops. click elsewhere and try again.

    I go to move the item up, and things start highlighting randomly. I'm just in a hurry and trying to move stuff faster then the Graphics card can keep up with. slow down a tad zarcon, lol.

    How are you trying to parent them, and what happens?

    I figured it out. I need to be in the ''Scene'' tab. Thanks for your help.
