Hey guys,

New to DS (old time Poser user)...

So, I have loaded Victoria 6 to my scene, and then I want to place an OLD M4 helmet on her. But when I place it on her, it is placed way to heigh up on her head, so I need to move it down a bit. BUT the helmet is locked, so I can't move it.

If I go to the Parameters tab and click the helmet and find the "Fit to"-tab, and set it to "none", THEN I can place the helmet corretly... BUT then the helmet don't move along with V6 if she moves, and if I set the "fit to" back to V6, then the helmet moves back to the old position.

Can someone please help me out?! :-)

I'm sure it's really simple...

edit: Also, When I place the helmet on V6 in the first place, the "auto fit feature" only gives me Genesis and Genesis 2 Male to choose from... not M4.

The first step you did are the right ones. Well done.
So now keep it "not fit" and then just right click on it and make change parent, and select V6 head from the drop down nodes, and make sure "parent in place" is checked.
You can also do it a second way, in the scene tab, drag and drop the helmet on the head node, then it will be parented. But if the parent in place option is not activate by default it may move the helmet in the scene.
Parented mean follows scales and movements of a given node, without shape modifications.

I have a sort of follow up question...

So, on my V6 model I want to place som armor shoulder pads from an old M4 set. The shoulder pads are loaded in pairs, so both left and right are loaded at the same time.

I'm using the above approach to fit the shoulder pads to the model, but I can only do it for ONE of them - like, set the parent of the right shoulder pad to the right shoulder, but that also sets it for the left shoulder pad.

How do I seperate the shoulder pads, so they can be parented to each individual shoulder?

Easiest solution would be to load the shoulder pad twice and hide one side on each set
