Can't Figure Out Bot Genesis
I am doing something wrong with Bot Genesis.
I essentially end up with a figure with skin that looks metallic. I'm not getting the joints with the mechanical/hydraulic look, the joints are smooth. Adding various options provides a little texture to the "clothes" but no mechanical joints.
I start with a Genesis 2 basic figure and no matter what steps I take I'm not getting the results you see in the pictures for the product.
Thanks for any help on what I'm doing wrong.

Are you using it on Genesis 1 or Genesis 2?
I was using genesis 2. So I tried "Genesis."
That is fixes the joint problem but when I apply the BotGen_All the thumb on the left hand is corrupted. The thumb does not attach to the hand, it floats out in space which in turn does all kinds of bad things when rendering.
I'm using Daz 4.6.3.52
I don't recall hearing about a problem like that with Bot Genesis, but if you select the thumb joints and zero the translations that should fix it.
@mwokee
I can confirm that there is a problem with the left hand in the CR2 (Poser) version of this item using DAZ Studio.
When I load the BotGen_All.DUF, the problem is not there, so it is some kind of error in the CR2 file only. If you are using DAZ Studio, you should use the native DUF file anyway, but if using Poser, this does not appear to work correctly atm.
I will report it for you.
The BotGen_All.cr2 is a poser companion file script for the DSON Importer for Poser and not an actual Poser .cr2 file.
Here are the steps I use to create a BotGen:
1. Load Genesis
2. With Genesis Selected, load People>Genesis>Clothing>Bot Genesis>BotGen_All.duf
3. To apply matching metallic materials to Genesis, select Genesis and load
People>Genesis>Materials>Bot Genesis>01_BaseMat.duf (or any of the other materials in that folder).
Note: If you don't have file extensions turned on in preferences, you won't see the .duf extension.
