Controllable Dynamic Cloak
I'm having a hard time controlling it. The prop loads as a rigid item and doesn't seem to be able to be adjusted. It won't fit to my V4. I have to adjust the scale just to go around my actor. I've tried changing the parent, but all that doesn't help with the free movement the cloak was suggesting it could do. Basically, all it's doing is moving around like a stiff item to whatever it's parented to. There's no control I can find to make it act like other wardrobe.

Dynamic clothing works a little differently to conforming clothing, which makes up the majority of outfits you'll find in the store. To fit it properly use the Dynamic Clothing tab and run a drape. Here's an example below.
As HoF says. This is an image I did using the Poser version of this cloak and running a full drape each time. (my own texture added)

Thanks. Didn't know about that function. But now it's giving me a 'cloth simulation error.' What settings and selections do I need to get past this?
I take it that you are using DAZ Studio, and that you have this http://www.daz3d.com/controllable-dynamic-cloak-for-daz-studio, as the Poser version will NOT work inside DAZ Studio.
Did you also find the Dynamic Clothing Control, Window > Panes (Tabs) > Dynamic Clothing?
Load the Dynamic clothing by double clicking on it in the Content Library, make sure that the item is selected in the Scene pane, in the Dynamic Clothing Control, you should only need to press the button marked 'Drape'
Can you please post a screenshot of your Dynamic Clothing Control so that we can see what is happening?
This is what I'm working with. Even just selecting it and hitting drape gives me the error.

@mynyori
There is no need to post images of V4, just post an image of the DCC, and the Scene pane, and the error box too if possible.
I found a few other errors like yours on the forums here, and that error usually occurs when dynamic items are added to an existing scene. Is this a new scene, or is it an older scene (.DAZ) that you are trying this with?
For now, I only use new scenes with saved subsets as actors for practice.
What have you got it selected to collide with? If you have it set to collide with everything in the scene that could cause problems.
Everything. I just tried selecting nothing and just the cloak. Same results.
Can you please try this by creating a new scene, load V4 from the Content Library pane (NOT a pre-saved V4), load the clothing and try a drape. It might tell us something.
Same.
This is what I'm fully dealing with. Don't know if it matters, but in the scene tab, a basic camera is added and the cloak is sometimes deselected. I have to click the x next to it to get the check mark back.
I found when dealing with the dynamic sheet that you only want to select the parts in the scene that they cloth will actually come in contact with. For example, if you have clothes on a person and a dynamic cloth over that, then select the clothes and only the bare parts of the skin that the cloth will touch. Leave the others unselected for collision.
Also, it's normal that dynamic cloth is un-selectable by default (Or so I'm gathering as I get the same thing on the sheets)
Also, I've gotten that error a couple times while first playing around with the sheets, just keep trying. Dynamic clothing are finicky creatures.
Looks like there's already a pre-existing drape. Hit the 'clear' button to remove it first before re-applying the drape. That error is usually caused by previous drapes, as it sometimes pushes cloth vertices into locations that are difficult to work with.
