How to update 3rd party assets?

How do you update 3rd party assets from other sites since they don't use the Daz Install Manager (DIM)?

I have several products that have been updated and I was wondering if there is a more efficient way to update the products. DIM updates the assets already. One method I thought about, but haven't got to trying is to reference from the old zip file folder structure and replace the outdated files. Now I could just bring in the whole zip file and replace the files in my custom daz library, but sometimes there are duplicated files renamed as something else and it could clutter my library overall.

Does anyone know of an efficient way to update 3rd party assets?

Most items don't get or need updates. Many of the DAZ updates are for stuff like meta data. I usually just check the sites periodically and see if there is an update
