Skin problem

In this render I noticed a black line running around the faces and over the top of the heads of the two male figures in the foreground. The guy in the background has the same material preset and seems unaffected. Any ideas what is causing this?

What application, figure, and skin are you using?

DAZ 4.6. Genesis 2 male. Gabriel.

Is it this Gabriel that you are using http://www.daz3d.com/gabriel or the one http://www.daz3d.com/gabriel-for-michael-4-and-michael-5 ?

Have you looked at what UV Set it is using in the Surfaces pane?

The first one. All 3 figures use the base male uv set.

I see that it says this on the Product Page :

*Note* Textures are built on the Genesis 2 Male Base UV and will work with any Genesis 2 Male Figure.

So, it should work OK. I don't have this set, so I can't be of much use to you. What lighting are you using, have you investigated that?

Actually all three suffer from it, if you zoom in on the guy in background you can see the black line going across the throat, what you're seeing is the seam between the Head material zone and the Face material zone, which use different texture maps. Sometimes this can be fixed by altering your shading rate in the render settings, other times it can be a surface shader issue and require modifying the settings or replacing the shader.

    Hi,

what render algorythm did you use?

For progressive render I see those lines in most of the cases. Using the normal render mode, they're gone.
