I have some low poly buildings and I would like to create a night scene with light coming from the windows. Is there a way to use the Layered Image Editor to add a texture to the windows and make it glow?
I wouldn't think you'd need to use the Layered Image Editor -- if you just want the windows to glow use the ambient channel; if you want light from them either use a transmap to allow a light from outside or turn them into UberArea lights.
The windows and the walls are the same texture. They are very low poly so I don't have a way to just select the windows. I think I may just use a separate primitive plane for each window and set that to glow.
Make a new map with the Windows white and everything else black, then put that in Ambient Strength so that the windows glow and the rest of the house doesn't - or put it in Opacity Strength to make the windows transparent.

OK, thanks. That should work
