Cannot enter text into content search

Hello,

When I try to type in text to search for say, a car, clothing, whatever really, nothing happens. Same for lists of parameters. At first I thought I had hit shift+K because ADSF acted like arrow keys, but when I turned that off, I still couldn't enter text into the search box.

This started after I installed Octane renderer, so I am not sure if that might be an issue and it happens whether I have octane open or not. If there's some apparently desirable setting that disables all text entry I have no idea what it is called or what it would be for, let alone how to find it.

Any ideas?

I don'tt hink we have had reprotrs as if the Octane plug-in causes general issues. Make sure, after clicking in the filter box, that you don't move the cursor over anything that will highlight in repsonse - that will steal focus from the text box.

I just had the same thing happen last night while working with Octane. It's not always like this, however.

I have a feeling that restarting D|S will correct it. We'll see when my animation is done rendering.

FWIW, I wasn't typing in the Search filter, I was trying to name a new environment. But it was the same thing - I could cursor-select the text, but my key taps were ignored entirely. So when I tried Ctrl+S to save the scene, that worked fine.
