In what context? The definition of "shader"? It's a piece of code that tells a render engine, such as 3Delight, how a surface, volume, light or camera works A Shader Definition file? It's a piece of code that tells DAZ Studio what parameters a shader takes and so on, so the Surfaces pane is properly populated. A Shader in the store? May be an actual shader, as in the former, or a set of values for the parameters for a particular shader to give a certain look (which is strictly called a shader preset).
With the surface selected, in the Content Library go to DAZ Studio Formats>My DAZ 3d Library>Shader Presets>omnifreaker>uberSurface and apply the !uberSurface Base preset.
then...
1 - switch from editor to presets
2 - click 'shaders'
3 - right click on the ubersurface shader (the red teapot)
4 - click 'merge into scene' on the pop up menu
