PP2 vs OBJ

I see duplicates of some models with these two types. Is there any different in loading them in Daz Studio on my Mac? Is one pretty much the same as the other?

    In most cases the PP2 will load the OBJ, apply textures and possibly add morphs or make other Poser-specific (and usually usable in DS) tweaks to the raw mesh.
