Can't render strand based hair?

So I recently bought both desert queen hair and high voltage hair and I can't seem to render with them. Daz studio either stops responding or the renderer fails and requires a restart. It doesn't seem to matter how much is in my scene, or the render settings. Anyone know how to deal with this issue?

What version of DS, what system specs, what video card driver?

Which renderer?  IRay, 3Delight, Filament?

latest version of Daz studio. Intel core i5-446, 16gb ram, Geforce GTX 1060, and not sure which other specs to list. Currently I have studio driver 457.30

Well I figured something out, turning line tesselation to 1 seems to prevent guranteed crashing. It's still a bit to slow, and can still crash sometimes, so I'll try to see what else I can do to this
