Barely-There Hair Render settings?

I just picked this up tonight & having no luck with an Iray render. Havn't run into this with other dForce hair.  

What am I missing? Not finding any info anywhere.

What is the issue? An image might help.

This is wierd.  Opened up the same scene from last night & now the hair is rendering in Iray. Last night, not even an inkling.

Guess I'll have to keep an eye on this for awhile.
