Keyframing "Visible in render"

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

HI, I batch renders at night and I need to hide out of view characters to reduce RAM, what's the workflow to keyframe "visible in render" channel? I tried changing the parameters and keying it but it only creates "C" keyframes, what does it mean?

    Where does it say "C"?

    In the timeline, instead of the triangle it a square with a little "C" in it.

    "Constant", meaning that it holds that value until changed, as opposed to transitioning from one value to another. Since Visible in Render is a boolean, meaning that it's either on or off, that's really the only option.

    Ok, so if I select the channel and create keys, it will create hidden or visible states, based on the current state of the button in parameters?
