Can I selectively delete products using Daz install manager? Or what's the best way?

I started not too long ago in daz and didn't really know what i was doing so I never unchecked the poser version of items bought from the daz store in the download manager so now i have a bunch of duplicate poser files in my content library cluttering things up I want to delete. I went into the install manager under installed products but there are several options that sound sort of like what I want . I dont want to break anything so I thought I would ask you all first. I want to just uninstall the P's and PoserCF packages not the Daz versions. I really dont want to hunt down all the files individually and delete them. Thanks in advance.

You can remove the PoserCF files if you never intend to use Poser, that wont break anything.
What 'duplicates' do you have? The reason I ask, all of the figures that DAZ 3D produced before Genesis, were in Poser Format. Most of these Poser figures would have DS material files as well, but the figure itself was loaded from the Poser runtime folder, and there is no 'DAZ Studio' version. So, removing that would remove the needed library files.
Most of the newer stuff that is made in .DUF format, can also be used in Poser via the DSON importer, but there is not generally a Poser version as well. Other items may have Poser files and DAZ Studio files, but I don't think there are very many of them.
What files do you think are duplicates? Do you now have the filter in DIM set, so that you only get the files you need?
Thanks for responding. I didn't know all that about the compatibility between the two studios. Here is a link to one of the daz store products that am specifically referencing http://www.daz3d.com/fantasy-and-sci-fi-effects . It seems to have a "version" or at least a different set of material, morph, and animations icons as well as at least 3 different selections for each prop. For example if I load the "energy beam" prop and want to apply a blue electric material to it, it either doesn't work at all or i have to keep clicking different thumbnails untill i find the correct corresponding file. I'm not sure if this all makes sense how im describing it but I have a handful of similar products.
The item says this on the Product Page :
One thing you could do first, is to go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library, and put a check in the box labelled 'Show File Extensions', that at least, would tell you whether the file is for Poser or DAZ Studio. Poser MAT files will have either a PZ2 or MC6 extension, and DS ones will begin usually with a 'D' as in DSA, DSB, DSE etc. The modern ones will be DUF.
Another way that it can be done, is when the Poser MAT file and the DS MAT file have EXACTLY the same name, and they are both stored in the Poser Formats area (Pose folder). When there is a DS one available, DAZ Studio displays a small scroll icon iat the top left corner of the icon, to show that DS materials will be used. These DS files do not show up at all in Poser, so there is no confusion, a very good solution I think.
Turning on Show File Extensions is a good idea, that way, you know what the file is supposed to do, and what software it is meant for.
