Horo : nice to see the details of the lantern.
Thanks for the closeup Horo. The signature solves one of my questions as I saw it in another image of yours (elsewhere) and thought that it was person. Now I see that it's a signature. The lantern here does not look like the ones I got with Bryce premium so it must, indeed, be a long ago item. It looks very good and the lighting is nice.
bit late but had to try it out ...great examples posted by everyone
same one different camera postions
spuddy - nicely done.
Spuddy, those are super cool. They give me the chills. It's like something is lurking out 'there' and I'm hiding in the bushes. Great job.
spuddy : scary scene, very nicely done.
NGartplay: Great use of the technique with the horses and MatCreators items.
Melaniel: Looks scary to me, your ‘green’ forest. And the one with the snowy/starry sphere is fantastic.
Adbc: Great monochrome (B&W) render.
Horo: Creepy trees! The candle render is strange, but interesting. I now understand that this candle is in your creepy trees render.
Mermaid010. The light is nice in your fountain.
Spuddy: Wow, wow!!! Those are fantastic scary wonderful landscape renders!
I made these two ones long time ago after the tutorial. The first one normal lens, can’t remember the settings in the other one.
The strange pillars are Bryce trees (without leaves).
Hansmar - thanks. Strange trees, very interesting examples.
Horo, adbc - thank you for your comments (sorry I'm late responding, I've been locked out of the forums for a while - so finally I'm back with this "fake" id).
spuddy - I like your latest pair, a real mysterious misty scene.
Hansmar - thank you for your comments. Interesting look with those leaf-less trees, they look like eerie monoliths.
Hansmar, never seen the trees look like that. Very cool. I really like your scenes. The first one reminds me of one of my games that I play. Feel like I have to jump from tree to tree to get to the front of the scene :)
Hansmar : thank you. Unusual trees, beautiful though. The subtle lighting on the second one give it a mystical look.
Spuddy - two creepy renders, very nicely done.
Hansmar - thanks for your comment, the trees are unusual, the lighting very nice especially in the 2nd one with the lens.
Horo, MelanieL, NGartplay, adbc, mermaid010, Thanks.
I thought it would be nice to create a new one for this game.
I used two 'odd world' items, instanced them and used the fog as described by David. But I added a gradient to the light and an infinite plane behind the scene, slightly rotated and with a modified 'mother of pearl' texture. This results in e.g. the additional light we see on the left.
Hope to see some other, inspirating interpretations.
Hansmar, that turned out great. Love the creepy tree thingies. Right out of the Nightmare Before Christmas.
Hansmar : excellent result with the modifications, I love it.
Hansmar - outstanding. The Odd World objects look a bit like creatures.
Hansmar - wonderfully creepy!
Hansmar - very creepy but lovely effect.
I was inspired by Hansmar's odd world render above. Two skeletons from Daz 3D, a Fan Palm from Arbaro, a London Planetree from Xfrog without foliage and stem and two radials together with the camera in a sphere with Dan's Fog (by Dan Whiteside).
That's hilarious Horo the atmosphere is awesome
NGartplay, adbc, Horo, MelanieL, mermaid010, Thanks.
Horo: That is indeed hilarious and very well made. Lovely mood. I guess the name is "Valentine's day"?
Horo, I laughed too. I like that the light source in their hands...er, um...bones. Great work.
Thank you mermaid and NGartplay. And also thanks Hansmar, good idea about Valentine's day, I came up with Platonic Love.
Horo - that's brilliant (in every sense)!
Horo : very cool idea, wonderful scene.
Thank you MelanieL and adbc.
I made one with a (rather contorted) Eastern Dragon from DAZ and a skul prop (of which I removed multiple parts). A reflective plane creates the mirror image.
I used a glass material with the level of refraction that creates a kind of inner sphere.
Hansmar - this looks excellent, cool idea, too.
Hansmar - awesome idea, superb result.
