Daz assets to AltspaceVR

I posted a question. In the Unity forum but I'm not sure if I even need Unity. Basically I want to create a world in AltspaceVR using Daz assets but they have to be super low poly. I was thinking of creating a full posed character with clothes and hair then saving as an obj to use just as a static prop as well as sets/props. But can I get them low poly enough to use in AltspaceVR? I have Decimator but have never used it. Also will textures from DS transfer to work in AltspaceVR? Everything there is really low res, low poly, cartoony almost. I have no idea how to do any of this and welcome all help. Thanks.

Alicia, isn't AltspaceVR a social app? If so then the world you would be creating would be shared or hosted online and you can't use DAZ content for that purpose. Even with the interactive licenses, they are for original games only and a world in a game would be a mod which is not allowed

As for the process, is there an SDK for Altspace that tells how to develop content for it? The SDK usually tells the user the process, file formats, file sizes, texture qualifications, etc If it is based on Unity then you will probably have to use Unity to get any content in the format to use in Altspace.

As for the low poly aspect, there are lots of tools in various apps that can decimate a mesh. decimator does an ok job, but the lower you get, the more warped your mesh can become and it also can warp your UV mapping.

Wow, I thought if I purchased the license I could use the products... Even if I turn a posed, dressed character into a low poly obj that is not rigged? It would be basically a statue. Adobe allows their characters to be used in Altspace. Also there is that semi-porno VR app that I think you mentioned that allows Daz assets and they are animated...

They may include daz assets; that doesn't mean they are licensed - they certainly can't allow others to add content derived from Daz assets and distribute the results.

The G2 figures used in virtamate are licensed since it is an original game. I talked to the dev about it.

Adobe likely has different licensing and planned uses. If I purchase a figure from turbosquid, more than likely the license will let me do lots more with it, hence the higher price.
