The Night Before Christmas Just Doesn't Work!

Okay. I'm having massive problems with "The Night Before Christmas". Thumbnails are gone, I can't get any of the props to work, I've uninstalled it, deleted it, updated the metadata and everything else I can think of. And nothing makes a bit of difference!

For the record, I've checked the log file. And this is what I got.

HELP!

  • Ultimate in stupid questions here.

Why are you trying to load the Poser version and not the DS version?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How are you installing and uninstalling?

you might have a corrupted zip and need to redownload and reinstall.

Check the zip itself to see if you can open the image files.

Just tested with both the ds and poser versions and neither is tossing errors or  failing to load or has missing files.

    Ds 4.12.1.118

That error usually means that files installed via connect didn't decode properly.

Try reinstalling it, or uninstalling the connect version then installing it with DIM or manually.

    That doesn't make sense.

Does connect edit the file on install?

I ask this as i've gotten that particular error off and on for the last 10+ years and it's usually just a typo from manually edited files.

Doesn't actually cause a problem with the functionality of the product, just produces this particular error.

From what I understood Connect install files are encrypted when downloaded, and they have to be decrypted when installed. Sometimes they don't decrypt properly and the resulting files give errors when you try to use them.
