More Newbie Questions: Backgrounds, Walls, and Dirt
Had great answers to my previous question, so thanks... I have purchased some products and creating some terrific images for my needs... and plan to buy more.
One I plan to purchase is "Tea Party For Kids." I love the main scene and would like to duplicate it but I have come to realize it does not include the grass and garden trellis.
The problem then is, how do I find backgrounds, walls, and dirt? I did a search for GARDEN and didn't find anything that would make a good background for my Tea Party.
I want to get Moonshine Diner also but from what I can tell, it doesn't have any ground or some kind of paved surface for cars and people.
Seems like a trivial matter but I am at a loss for the best way to complete the scene for many of these packages. For Tea Party I may just photograph the grass and woods behind my house but for simple things like a paved surface for the diner, that may not be so simple for having it look natural.
Thanks for any sage advice.

For grass, have a look at this one: http://www.daz3d.com/grassy-grounds-megapack
For the rest, you can always mix props. So if you need a ground plane or a wall, simply take what you need from other products. Many artists do this all the time, because more than often one product does not cover a whole scene. And mixing props and items gives your scene a more individual look.
Mwokee, you can look under the environment category in the DAZ store. This will filter the selections for things you can use as background or background elements....things to make objects look like they're in an environment. If you go to the Freepozitory, you should also be able to find many items listed to use for filler.
Yes it does; a small ground object, just a little bigger than the building itself, and a big ground about four times the size.
Note, though, that the diner itself is just the building shell (and with those huge windows, the empty inside is very easily noticed); the interior is a separate product. In fact there are quite a few texture sets and interior fittings sets, the whole moonshine range (which includes a drive-in cinema) was part of a big promotion in one of the major DAZ sales a couple of years ago.
If you're a Platinum Club (or + member) there are probably quite a few sets you can pick up and just use the ground planes.
Also, a tip I gave in my Art Studio thread last year- use a wall and flip it, use it for the floor. A brick or stone wall can make a great floor for an outdoor patio. :)
