How to make a Streetlight?

I'm using Urban Sprawl to create a night scene. Great detail in the model and I'm using a spotlight pointed down from each streetlight. This creates a pool of light, but the streetlight itself has no glow. Is there a way to make the light glow? And maybe create a hazy funnel of light from it to the sidewalk below?

Thanks

If you have Carrara you can just set a glow property on the object and then if rendering with indirect light it both glows and lights up the area.
Carrara spotlights can also have volume effects (the hazy cone of light)

In daz, you can put a bulb light inside the object and make the shader of the lightbulb mostly transparent. That will make it seem to glow.
You can make volume spotlights with this tutorial:

The quickest way is to use a lighter Ambient Color for the glass. It's not the most realistic effect, but it does help.

For the funnel of light, try a cylinder primitive with high Ambient and some Opacity.

The quickest way I've created light bulbs is by using the uberlights (sphere, beam etc.) then there's shaders you can apply to the light you already have that will do either smoke or dusty effect (although I haven't gotten those to work. I keep getting an error)
