What Really Comes With a Purchase?

I am a very green newbie... worked through a few tutorials and have some of the fundamentals down so OK, time to dive in... I am looking at some of the packages you can purchase, one being a chess board with related items.

There are sample images, but I get the impression the "nice" image shows objects that do not come with the package. I really like the complete scene in the list but I don't think the table and fireplace and sundry other items are included in the actual package.

If that's the case, is there a way to really know what object are included?

EDIT: I figured out there is a tab with items included but it's still confusing if everything in the pictures is included.

Usually everything in the picture is not included and some vendors are real nice and list what other products were used in the promo image so if you see something you like in the promo, you can find it easier in the store.

If your talking about "Fancy a game of chess" then the fire place, tree, stockings, man, cat, rug don't come as part of the set. If you look at the second promo that one gives a pretty clear idea of all the extras included in the the product. The rest of the images are close ups of the items.

In most products, the final promo image is usually a view of everything that is included, white without textures. Usually...

The best way to know what comes with the purchase is to look at the What's Included tab on the product page in the store (as I see you figured out). Depending on the product, some vendors will use clothing and environment, for instance, when the product itself is the figure or even the figure's texture. It's not meant to confuse, but give you an idea of the product in use.

lol, if only for more items this was true, lol.

The list of included items in that tab, will depend on the item. Some have morphs, others texture options, etc. The really confusing bit for a n00b like ME, is all that DUF, CR2, MTL, OBJ, SFZ (lol), etc listed files. I have no clue what half of the files are, or watt they do. Especially how they would apply to any particular product, I'm learning tho.

    * "SFZ", is a MIDI sound format of sorts, lol.

    Short explanation:

    .DUF - DAZ Studio Format
    .CR2 - Poser Format (Figure)
    .PP2 - Poser Format (Prop)
.OBJ - Universal 3D Geometry (works in most 3D applications)
.MTL - Material Definition (works in many 3D applications in conjunction with the .obj-file)
