DSF files not working

edited December 1969 in New Users

I can't seem to get a few .dsf files to work properly in DAZ.To wit:

Me trying to upload the "Killer Shark" model and getting this popup.

Am I doing something wrong here? And before you ask yes, the files are there, DAZ just doesn't seem to realize it somehow.

Please have a look at this thread, I believe there was a mistake in the DUF file for this. Did you download it a long time agao, or is this a recent download?

There is a fix for it here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/19401/ But I think the file has probably been updated by now, so you should redownload and install it.

If the DUF file has still not been fixed, it should be reported as a bug to Support.

Your Killer Shark is looking in the wrong place, it should be lokking in

    /data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Morphs/Joequick/KillerShark/KillerShark.dsf

That extra part of the path needs to be added to the DUF file. I don't have this item, but if you load the DUF file into a text editor, you should be able to change it yourself, it would be a lot quicker than waiting for Support to respond and fix the item.

I just fixed it, works fine now.

I'm also getting a similar problem with Asobi. Only it tells me to read the log file instead. Did she get upgraded too?

I doubt if it is the same problem, it doesn't happen very often.

To view the Log File, go to Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File. Does it give any further information in there? The Log file is very large, so scroll to the bottom and look for where you were trying to load Asobit.

What exactly were you trying to load when you got an error, and what did the error say?
