The latest version of installers now come as ZIP files, and you can either download and install them yourself, or use DIM (DAZ Install Manager) Is this an EXE installer you are using, if so, it is probably out of date, and you should download the latest version from your My Account > Product Library area.

Where are you installing this content to? It MUST be installed into the library that contains Genesis.

For what I have read, this is a normal error to get on Windows 7 (I am not sure what platform you are running)

However, even though the error report pops up, it does not mean that that your content was not installed.

I have ran across this error a couple of times (Win 7) and I have not had a problem with the content itself.

    - If I had to guess, this is due to the text file, chances are you already have a file with that name on that location -
(Don't quote me on this, though!)

    Question:

Are these two files really necessary?...what would happen if i choose not to install them?...

    PostgreSQL CMS (Win 64-bit)
PostgreSQL CMS From Valentina CMS conversion

It would be a very good idea to install them in my opinion.

They are for the new database that the latest version of DAZ Studio uses (or can use). If you don't install them, then you will have the default Valentina/CMS system, which can give a lot of errors, and generally doesn't work as well as PostgreSQL

The other thing to consider is if you are a Carrara 8.5 user, it still uses CMS/Valentina to populate it's Smart Content tab, but if you don't use Carrara, or don't mind not having Smart Content in it, then PostgreSQL is the way to go.

People have been using it for a few weeks now, and I haven't heard of anyone having major problems with it, unlike CMS which caused many problems with Smart Content.
