get the 2022 version

ex: you select an animated figure's left shoulder

you enable the "recurse" option

you specify you want the mirror to be applied from frames 0 to 100

you click a button

bam the right arm now has the mirror-animation of the left arm, all 18 bones of the arm

( well maybe a slow-motion "bam" like a "ba a a am" )

These look awesome :O I recently found your site and all your scripts and got super excited, but many of them have dead links (I tried to download the auto-limb and hand-hold scripts and both were broken). Do you have fresh links somewhere, or are they just out of date for the new DS?

I'm in the middle of an animation that has many very fine hand movements (on frame 3000 @ 30 fps) and I can't even put into words how much time these would save me.

I can't even imagine how long it's going to take when I render this thing...

first lets check in the main menu
    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts2/

i click on the icon/thumbnail for the old mcjAutoLimb (which should work with DS 4.7 )

and i do get to the web page, good good

    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/mcjautolimb

In recent years, at the bottom of the page i added a Warning similar to the one shown here
so it's probably just a matter of clicking the Down-arrow and you'll get the zip file !

also note that there's a slightly more complicated but very usueful new version of mcjAutolimb here

    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts3/mcjautolimb2014

    and mcjHoldon is still here

Argh, I feel so foolish! Thanks a million, and I really appreciate all the scripts! I can't wait to fiddle around with them!

I'm extremely interested in the foot stabilizer. The little blurb you wrote describing what the autolimb script does sounds like you were standing over my shoulder while I struggled with shaky feet.

Edit: I suppose while I'm at it, you're the perfect person to ask.

I've had this idea for a script for a while where you would select an object or figure as the target and a hand as a source and it would fiddle with the bends until it's grasping the object with the least amount of geometry intersection possible.

Is this something the DS scripting system can do? It will take me many hours to figure out how the system works (I believe it's python?) and I would love to know if my idea is possible before investing too much time learning it. It would be easily possible if you can test for geometry collision, as it would just be iterating over gentle bends and rechecking.

Just to be clear, I'm not asking you to make a script, I'm asking if it's possible before I devote the time and effort into learning how.

this run animation cycle was made with the help of mcjMirrorLimbAnim

and mcjCycleFilter, mcjMakeTarget, mcjParent, the sceneGraf plugin, mcjPathTube, bLooper

still needs some smoothing, the animation i mean

    Hi mCasual

    Another great script, however...

It works on arms/legs but when I try to use it on genesis8 female face rig (EG Head>Lower jaw>Lower Face Rig>Left Lip Lower Outer) it doesn't do anything.

The Daz symmetry function works on the face rig (IE Edit>Figure>Symmetry), but only does one frame at a time and I want to process an animation.

Any advice? Would it be relatively easy to add the Symmetry operation to mcj Repeat Action? (Unfortunately my scripting skills are nowhere near up to that!)

    Thanks!

Edit: I crudely patched-in "DzSymmetryAction" in place of "DzRestoreFigureAction" in the mcjRepeatAction script. This does work, although it opens the Symmetry dialogue box for each and every frame being modified, so it does require Enter to be held down for quite some time! I guess what I need is a silent version of the Symmetry action in Daz: I couldn't see such a thing in the Daz documentation.

Edit#2: Today I've found documentation for Symmetrize without dialog: Symmetrize - No Dialog [Documentation Center] (daz3d.com). Now I need to spend some time to work out how to patch it into mcjRepeatAction, or "just" wrap some scripting round it to step through keyframes!

Hello, how are you? I hope you are well.

I am contacting you to ask for a script that will allow Daz Studio to render a sequence of images (Animation) using only the Spot Render area. Spot Render currently only allows the rendering of a single frame. Would it be possible to create a script that will automatically render all the frames of the selected area only?

    Thank you!

i think you could use Texanim, even though you dont have animated textures, it renders using the current settings for the renderer

but i never tried it with an empty list of textures to animate

so you could create an off-camera plane and make a simple "job" file

TexAnim 2022 also can do animated VOBs ( clouds/fires)

    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/texanimfords3

i have other scripts that do renders of animated material parameters ( ex : the tiling )  AniMats and mcjAniMatSave

there's also "Compoz" and Camseq that may interest you
