Do I have to rent Photoshop now?
I purchased Bryce Pro and am trying to download it. I have the Daz installer and it says I must download it manually. The download seems to want to make me download a patch to Photoshop CS4,5, or 6. The new Photoshop only lists the ones with their Creative Cloud and that costs $13 a month. Do I really need this to make a scene?

There should be no reason for you to have to have Photoshop for DS use. An image editor may be utilized for postworking images or creating/modifying textures, but can be done separately in whatever image editor you use.
You only need the update to Photoshop if you do actually have and use Photoshop with the DS bridge.
You certainly won't need it if you are only using Bryce
So if you don't want to, just don't use the bridge. I honestly never do and I"m up to date. Just each person gets to choose...that's the good thing. :)
I cannot get Bryce7 Pro to download to my computer. When I go to my accounts it gives me 4 things. 2 of them are for MAC so I only am downloading the 2 for windows. The one with 17.2 Mz says I don't have Bryce installed so I went to the Bryce on the left side of the screen and it gives me 2 things. I figured the one with 670.4 must be the Bryce free program and I am trying to download that.
I also got the message that they cannot fine the bridge to Photoshop on my computer and they stopped the download. Was that just for that part of the program?
I am lost in this installation.

You are trying to install content for Bryce before you have installed Bryce. The Window's Bryce 7 .exe installer is named Bryce_7.1.0.109_Win32.exe and is 253.76 MB in size.
I am downloading that one now. Thanks.

That worked. Now I will have to figure out what I have. The screen does say Bryce 7 Pro now that I have entered my serial number.
Thanks for the help.

You should have 2 content files. One large and one considerable smaller. You will also have a file called "Bryce Ligtning" you won't need that unless you want to set up a render farm.
