yeah I find it acts more like electrostatic nylon than cloth
I prefer VWD with it's inflate but it only works on my Win7 machine I haven't bought the update but even the trial of that crashed on my Win10 upon sending back to DAZ studio or Carrara.
fortunately my saved duf file on the Win7 will work sent over my network on my Win10
That's ne of the biggest issues I have, the settings either don't do what they should or don't affect the cloth as much as it should. Not sure which it is but reducing the friction should make the cloth slippery like silk.
And yet, so many get it to work without the drama.

What collision detection are you using? If you haven't, try upping it and/or using the SubDed mesh. It might also be worth increasing the simualtion offset value a little, though ti should stay below the separation between vertices in the mesh.
I'm not saying I've not gotten it to work, but it's been frustrating and time consuming just trying to get the settings so the output looks like what I expect. Most of the time I have to just settle for "that looks kind of like what I was going for"
Well I guess its a drama-filled discussion, when its a dramatic feature. I am going through those pages suggested.
One thing I find curious is googling and youtubing my questions pertaining to dforce (or anything else DS related queries and getting sparse results, albeit beginner topics, for instance, the instance you gave me doesn't show up on my keywords: daz studion dforce
Thank you for the link. I am going through it now, a few pages in and still haven't seen my particular concern yet. Will see and get back with ya'll if and when I come across it.
You can always post your question in that thread.
