How to Add Outfits, Skins, etc. into "Actors, Wardrobe and Props"?

Hi, I am a newbie to DAZ 3D, and I am wondering how I am supposed to add outfits, skins, hair, and other items into the "Actors, Wardrobe and Props" section on the left side of the DAZ 3D 4.6 screen? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

I think that's the Smart Content pane (panes can be in different places in different layouts, or if you rearrange the interface, so location isn't that useful as an identifier). Are you wanting to add additional items, or is it completely empty? If it's empty that might indicate that the content database is corrupt, in which case we can point you to a troubleshooting guide, but I will assume you are wanting to add new items - that requires products that include metadata, which freebies rarely do, and happens most reliably if you install using the DAZ Install Manager with DAZ Studio closed. You can categorised content yourself, finding it in the Content Library pane and dragging it across to the Smart Content pane with the figure that uses it loaded and selected so that DS knows what it belongs to.
I got freebies, but I have to find out what folders I have to place them in after I unzip?
And yes, I am trying to add new items.
Hi Jonsea, for Windows 7/8 users there are 2 default locations for the files, the 1st one: C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\ is where the DIM saves all the stuff downloaded from DAZ in that way (fully recommended) the other path is C:\Users\Your username\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\ where the program saves your personal stuff, you may add your downloaded content to either of the 2 folders, (only one of them) for Daz freebies just intall them using DIM, I grabbed lots of them and always have been Dim enabled.
Adding items into the Smart Content pane has a degree of complexity to it. It's not a simple case of putting the files in the right folder, since you'll need to tell Daz whether the item is clothing, a prop or an actor.
Either way check out the link in my signature - 'Create your own Smart Content'. I run through a few examples, such as adding 3D Universe characters to the actors list and making sure they have compatible wardrobes as well.
