Swtich from DAZ 64 to 32
I have switched daz studio 4.6 64 bit to 32 bit because of my photoshop cs6 which is 32bit. After i uninstall the 64 bit version of daz studio and install the 32 bit version. Now all contents is showing as missed. I have tried uninstall the whole content and daz studio and reinstall the whole thing all over again and the contents is still showing as missed.
Where did i went wrong here? Or it is just the 32 bit thing that have tiny bit problem? I used the install manager.

When you first install DS it points to a different location for content than the Install manager.
(that's to make sure DIM does not overwrite anything)
Check that DS is looking at the same place that DIM uses.
p.s. There was no need to uninstall, the 32bit and 64bit versions can live side by side. :-)
Yes, as prixat says, go to Edit > Preferences Content Library > Content Directory Manager, and make sure that your library is listed as BOTH DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats there.
Let us know if that works OK.
Photoshop CS6 is, in any event, available as a 64 bit version - you can choose which you install (I don't have the 32 bit installed, though I'd need it if I dug out some of my old plug-ins).
@ Prixat, I understand but what the point of having daz studio in both 64 and 32 side by side when i will use 32 version more. Lol :P
@ JimmyC_2009, I checked that and there are daz studio and poser formats there. They are set to C:/User/D0102/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library. But the funny thing is that folder doesn't exist! I have tried set it to C:/User/D0102/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library. That where all contents is currently at and it doesn't work or recognize them.
@ Richard Haseltine, Yeah, but i do not have the 64 version bit. :S
If you use the Photoshop bridge all the time then you're right, you don't need the the 64 bit DS. (Though it doesn't take up much room)
For me, the removal of the memory limit and greatly increased stability of the 64 bit DS makes it the first choice, I only use the 32 bit version when I absolutely have to.
If C:/User/D0102/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library is where your content is installed to, and you have that path listed as both DAZ Studio and Poser Formats, then it really should work correctly. You may need to close DAZ Studio, and re-open it again, if you still can't see the content in the Content Library pane, then can you please post a screenshot of the Content Library so that I can see what you are seeing?
By default, the DIM (DAZ Install Manager) installs all of it's content to C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library, and unless you changed that, it will all be in there.
The 64 and 32 bit versions of PS are part of the same installer (for me, using the DVD version) - if you downloaded from Adobe they will be in your account, I don't know whether as a single installer or as two.
Remember, that 32-bit programs can only access a fraction of the memory that a 64-bit program can use. Daz Studio deals with 3D, which means models and textures and that can add up to a lot of memory usage with only a few characters. Ideally, you want to use the 64-bit version of any program you have access to, rather than the 32-bit, simply because they will perform much better than their counterparts.
There is no reason why you can't use a 32-bit version of Photoshop alongside the 64-bit version of Daz Studio. They're totally independent programs, and one doesn't directly influence the other except via the Photoshop bridge. The bridge, it should be noted, also works between 32-bit PS and 64-bit DS.
Yes! I found the cd-rom had 64-bit version. I have uninstall the whole 32-bit version of photoshop and daz studio and install 64-bit version. Everything is working perfectly as expected. I can't believe how life can be easier on the photoshop bridge with daz studio. Make UV texture customizing easier!
Thanks much for all the helps and quick response! Keep eye out as i will be posting some render of my newbie works. LOL!
As content being missed when i was using the daz studio 32-bit, i haven't figure it out. It was really strange because before i switch to 32-bit from 64-bit. The 64-bit was perfectly fine. :S
Again thanks much! :D
