I can't see dForce hair in iRay

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Hey I've bougth  dForce Kherington Hair and I can't see it in iRay. In texture shaded mode it's there but not in iRay. Anyone has any clue how to fix that or what am I doing wrong?

PS I hope I'm posting this in the right place

    dForce hair doesn't show up in the Iray viewport by default, but should show up in a full render. There's a setting under the hair called Preview PR Hairs that needs to be turned on to show in preview, and you may also need to turn line tesselation up to at least 2 or 3.

    I suppose you mean Iray preview? That's normal. dForce hair uses a lot of resources so by default it doesn't show in Iray preview, only full renders.

    You have to change some Parameters of the dForce Hair for it to show up in the Viewport:

    • Parameters > Simulation > Preview PR Hair: On
    • Parameters > Line Tessellation > Viewport Line Tesselation Sides: set it at least to 1
