Huevember 2020

Heya, folks! I don't usually do art challenges, but this year I'm doing Huevember because I like colors and this is a low-pressure way to do more renders just for fun. laugh

The idea is to create one piece a day (originally drawings, but can be any medium) using the dominant color assigned to the date.

Huevember color wheel

The colors don't have to be used at the level of saturation on the wheel, and you don't have to do it every day to participate, so there's a lot of freedom.

If anyone else is doing renders for this I'd love to see them!

First Huevember render.

#2, kinda sketchy. (Can renders be sketchy?)

Do you just want new renders ? I have a couple of oldies that I think would fit nicely later in the month.

Anyway, here's a new one done just for this - about right for 2/3/4 November I think ?

It's a Poser render using just one white light (in her helmet). The overall colour is from the Poser atmospheric depth cue - more info here if anybody's interested. There's something simlar in DAZ Studio if I recall correctly? I haven't really used DAZ Studio for several years.

I'll take the lack of response as an "oldies are fine" laugh

So here's an oldie that I think fits the 5th rather nicely. Once again the colour is mainly from the atmospheric depth cue

Next oldie probably isn't till the 11th

Not sure if this fits today or if I should have waited a day or two, but I'll drop it in here anyway...

Nice one - I'd say you're a couple of days late, cos I think that matches 4th

    Nobody else playing yet ?

(I've got another real oldie suitable for today or tomorrow, but I'll wait a bit)

Is that Bill and Ben ? If so, where's Weed ? Flubbalubalub ? Weeeeeed !

Anyway, shamelessly yanking the thread back to the top of the forum with something really old...

... I think this matches the 8th (or possibly 7th) - well, sort of, -ish

These are awesome, thanks for sharing, folks! laugh And old stuff is fine, doing it out of order is fine--honestly this stuff is just an excuse to stretch your art muscles in any given direction.

I love this idea!  I'm going to do it a little differently, if that's ok, and just do the major colors instead of all the shades.

    Here are my first two:

    Yellow

    Orange

This one for the 9th - a couple of days late. One from a series of studies* of this  chap

I really love seeing how everyone uses the colors, whether it's a major part of the overall picture or a focus or balanced in small bits throughout! :D

I'm just getting time to post the ones I've hoarded over the past week or so, but I'm surprised I managed to stick with it so far haha. It's the first art challenge I've tried.

Annd 5 and 6--this is a good excuse to rummage through my library and throw together a bunch of stuff I rarely get a chance to use. (Also I just saw SickleYield's spider people and I'm about to be so annoying when I get paid. laugh)

Whoops, I missed the 10th, 11th and 12th, for which I had a couple of renders cleverly prepared years in advance !

So consider this a retrospective of the past few days...
