How to Reset Timeline! Help please! :)

The title is self descriptive! How do I delete the timeline all in one go? The only way I've figured out how to do it is to delete each frame individually, but that is time consuming... Where is the simple little button to clear the timeline?

The only way I know of as I have yet to mess with animations, is the "New Scene" option. Assuming you saved the scene (with a different name) before adding all the timeline things.
    (edit)
The "New Scene" option, removes EVERYTHING from the scene, and starts a new one, not just the timeline stuff.

Ew... that's very poorly designed. I may end up looking for a different studio to work in if that's the case. Glad I didn't drop any money into this.

I think you misunderstood my comment. I use save-points so I can backtrack easily. And for Animations, I don't know the controls directly.

I understood perfectly. You have to use save points because they couldn't implement a button to clear the time line, or at least large portions of it. Incredibly poor design. Thank you for the reply though, I really appreciate it. :D

Idle question. did you try holding down the "Shift" button wen clicking on the (whatever there called) in timeline? It works elsewhere in the interface.

Save-points is just good practice, regardless of the software your using, AutoDesk, SonarX1, Daz Studio, Open Office, MS Paint, etc.

Solly because the "Undo" button dose not work for an infinite number of steps back, and many things can wipe out the history (restarting the software, loading a different scene, etc).

IF you right click on the parameters tab, a menu will open. Scroll down to clear animation and it will give you some options to clear the animation/shape/pose ect from whatever item you have selected on figures or objects. Make sure you pull the timeline back to the beginning first so you don't accidentally start your animation over in the beginning of the scene.

GASP! it worked! I thank you good sir! I would not have figured that out on my own. You deserve infinity cookies. Sadly I have none to give.

  • Maybe this will help:

    https://thinkdrawart.com/how-to-save-a-single-frame-in-daz-studio

After this, you are able to delete all Keys with the Clear option in the Timline-Menue.
