Look at top-right of the problem Viewport - there's a button labelled Perspective View (which lets you pick the camera/view to use for the Viewport) and to the left of it a broken-outline cube - that is the Draw Style selector, and it's current set to Bounding Box. Click to select a different mode, such as Texture Shaded. You can also change the DrawStyle of the Active Viewport by holding down ctrl(Win)/cmd(Mac) and pressing a number key - I suspect that is how it ended up in Bounding Box mode.
