Error saving files?

Today I've gotten this dialogue box every time I save a rendering…that there is an error saving the file and I can rename or try again. I rename and it works fine. But I get this no matter what the name of the file is. Any reasons why?

    I think you need to have something entered in Edit > Preferences > Author for it to save correctly.

    Please try that.

    I think it was being directed to a file and not a folder. So my bad. But it's odd that option would even be possible.
