Daz Studio Not Shutting Down Correctly/Won't allow for more than one Daz Studio Window

1. When I exit out of a Daz3d scene, the window closes, I try to open a differnt scene and it will not open. Clicking on the icon and Daz 3d will not start. I must go into Tak Manager and scroll down to background process where Daz3d is still active for some reason and end task there. After that I can start Daz or load a previously saved scene.
2. I can no longer open multiple scenes with Daz3d. After opening an initail scene I go to open a second scene (second daz window) the first window asks me if I want to save before it shuts down. It won't open the second scene/window until the first is closed.
Any thoughts on what is going on? Thanks everyone for any help you can provide.

The way to open multiple instances of DS has changed for technical reasons.
There are informations on how to launch multiple instances in these threads:

All of this is WAY WAY over my head. I appretiate the help but can you break it down for me how to set this up to work? I have no idea what to do with the script. This is honestly pretty crazy.
Edit: Okay, so I figured out the script, I think, to allow me to open multiple windows using the windows shortcut. So my pinned shortcut is pretty much worthless at this point. I know Daz doesn't care but the old functionality was better for the end user. When you are running a series of images and you need to alter something in one, say a light, and then need to carry that through to the other images it is much easier to do with multiple instances open. Again well aware that the engineers probably don't give to rats but from an end user standpoint it is a needed functionality.
Leana thank you again for the help in directing me to the correct threads.
This hasn't solved my ability to close out of daz and open a new scene from my saved scenes. Daz still is closing down unless i go to task manager. I also can't have one scene open and try to open another saved scene still wiht out it wanting to override the current open scene.
I know it's not optimal from a user's point of view, but the way it worked previously could cause actual problems as all instances shared some technical folders and files. For example one instance could sometimes end up deleting or overwriting temp files used by another one.
Basically, now you need to add parameters in the command line which launchs DS so each instance you open has a different name/ID and DS can "isolate" each instance.
If you're using windows 10 there's a simple edit for your shortcut suggested here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/5755421/#Comment_5755421
If you're not, the easiest option is to create multiple shortcuts with a different instance name in each.
Yep, that's how it is now! :(
You can't open a new instance unless you crash the previous one on task manager.
There's that script, but you have to launch it before closing Daz, every single time :'(
Use the script once without launching a new instance, then copy the command line it gives you. Create a second DS shortcut using the command line you copied, now you can launch a second copy with that.
There were various causes mentioned for Studio not closing.
...for me it was the free octane plugin, when I uninstalled that, Studio started behaving again.
Installed 4.5 when it came out, just couldn't get my head around it, after trying for months to get content on it i gave up and went back to my trusty daz 3.1 [ if it ain't broke down fix it] but after a fault or something on my hard drive or graphics card the cameras stopped working, left me with a grey screen and a white bar across it, the only way to view anything is though a distant light.
So as i already had 4.5 on my drive i started it up once more, after a few days got the content on my content libray [ poser folders ] and have started to get my head around the layout once more phew!!
To start with i did a simple import of a figure i converted into an OBJ, i saved it as a prop OBJ1, i then loaded a set and inported said figure on it, saved it as scene, did the same with another figure OBJ 2 now to to put it into the same scene, your telling me i can't do that, the power pose tool was brill where did that go?
