Today I decided to update windows, did a clean install. Installing all my graffix stuffs, was going well until I got to DS. Downloaded the beta with DIM, DIM just keeps failing the install. I installed the cms crap first, after the first fail. Here is the illuminating DIM log lol

2020-10-06 18:34:44.280 Bad arguments to install product

I also grabbed the general release, it seems to have stalled while installing the CMS, it hung there for more than 30 minutes, had to hit the cancel button.

Closed DIM and tried gain, this ended up in the helper log

2020-10-06 18:37:12.554 WARNING: ..\..\..\..\..\src\dzpostgresqlobjectdatabase.cpp(37): postgres create new db error: server closed the connection unexpectedly

It might be Windows permissions blocking the CMS.  See if C:\Users\[yourname]\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\cms exists and if there's anything in it, and if it allows you write access (set folder options to show system and hidden files and folders).

cmscfg.json and a folder called "ContentCluster" filled with a bunch of stuff

OK weird stuff. Decide to restart my PC before I ate supper, came back. Now both installed fine. Guess it was just winblows being winblows. Thanks for the time man lol....

Does a standard user have write access?
