Dforce on a liquid 'splat' model
Hi, I'm trying to get the effect of sticky liquid attached to a sloping surface .. I'm using a model from the 'liquid model pack' but in trying to attach a dforce modifer and simulate it .. the computer spends 10 minutes dicking around with stuff .. and then only to what can be described as 'explode' the model every which way. So in no way is this simulation working.
Is there any way to either .. get the effect I'm looking for .. 'liquid attached to an irregualr surface' .. or to change the liquid model so that it simulates properly. I don't understand why dforce can't just simulate any object it's attahed to .. as I assume that the liquid model I have is something different than a plane with subdivision.
Answers appreciated.

dForce does cloth simulations pretty well, but it's not really made for things like soft-body physics, let alone fluid simulations, and what you're trying to do falls somewhere between those two. Look at something like Fluidos, or simply use Blender or other 3D program to do the simulation and then import into DS.
I don't have the splat model so i have no idea how they are modeled but usually if dforce is exploding its because the model is intersecting the base object. But as Gordig stated its probably going to be hard to get it looking like liquid running.
You could try using this product, it's worked well for me in the past: https://www.daz3d.com/sy-splats-drips-and-splatters-for-dforce
There are free splat props at Rendo from Perpetualvision!! They are for Poser, however you can proberly use these for Daz Studio!
Sadly I was recently banned from Renderotica (eye roll) .. so buying stuff from them is done. Well .. they don't deserve me!
I found this bit when doing some googling and it actually has helped in my particular situation:
Force dForce to do more acurate calculations
Go to [Simulation Settings Pane] > Simulation > Quality > Frames Per Second (FPS) Multiplier and increase the value up to 10 minimum.
This solved the problem for me in 60% of cases. But the calculation time of the simulation was quite longer.
Although, I only needed to up my FPS Multiplier by a couple notches.
There are dForce liquids around.

and probably others.
When a dForce object explodes it isbecause it is interesecting with something. So elevate it off the surface and let it "fall" onto it during the simulation.
Rendo usually means renderosity.com
These took a bit of detective work to find, as the maker's name is actually Perpetualrevision! We're allowed to link to freebies here, so the splats in question are these:

https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/messy-fx-set-2-food-mess/80988
Whether or not they can be dforced I don't know.
Be sure to check out the rest of Perpetualrevision's freebies, she has some really nice and useful stuff.
