Skies of Reality Vol 1 & 2

Hi All - I just purchased & installed Skies of Reality Vol 1 & 2. I've loaded a set/scene & when I try to load a setting from either of these volumes, I get a message box advising ' The Reality Toolkit was not found. The script will stop execution.' Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?? Thank you.

P.S I also can't find these two products in my Smart Content area. The only way I can locate them is by search by file in the Content Library (or by search in the products area)

Do you in fact have reality and its support files installed?

Doh!! No I don't...I hate being a noob....

Can you let me know the name of the product I need to buy & install (I've searched 'Reality' but am not sure which product I need to purchase)

This is a product which is no longer sold in the DAZ 3D store.

The creator of Reality now sells elsewhere.

There is a DAZ Studio version of these products included, so you don't have to buy Reality to use them.
I don't know about Smart Content, but here attached (from the ReadMe's) are where to find them in the content library.

Look for them under Dimensiontheories folder under props. It loads the full porky, skydome and lights.

Here's one using one of those: Straight up 3delight render, no reality. (And don't that sound funny! :gulp:)

I personally have collected each of the Skies sets that have the Standalone DAZ Studio versions. They are my go to outdoor lighting now. One at a time but o-so-fast to setup and use Tip: Some are set much lower than what is need in DAZ Studio for intensity, some are perfect.

Yup, true dat. In some cases you may want to up the intensity if they seem a bit dull, but otherwise they are a go to for me as well. I usually switch them to Directional shadows as well. they default to soft shadows.

Thinking of adding these to my collection.

Anyone have renders made solely with Daz3D, without the Reality plugin, that show the sky?

I liked to do outdoor scenes a lot back when I was active, and have been looking for ways to get back to that from inside of Daz Studio.

Overall they are all very good sets - I use "Skies of Economy" instead of "Skies of Reality" most frequently for outdoor scenes. DimensionTheory UE2 sets are usually very good quality and very useful for any outdoor renders IMHO.

To this post I attach some "Skies of Reality 1" shots, nothing fancy. Hope it is enough sky for you to judge :)

Hey thanks - and I assume Skies of Economy maintains the same caliber.

Looks like these can go into the wishlist then. :)

Back in the day my biggest hurdle was moving content from Poser or Daz into Vue or Bryce and while I could make wonderful skies and atmospheres, I'd often sacrifice some of the render quality of my figures. Sometimes I want a scene that close in, but has some sky 'back there', or even out the window of a building.
