Panel behind which transparent background? (3delight)

Good day!

Is there some way to make a panel or a wall behind which there was a transparent background when rendering?
I need to hide the legs of the person, so that the hands are visible. I need to do this at a certain height at an angle. Maybe there is a way to do this?

  • For Iray in Daz Studio?

Create a plane (or whatever shape you want) from Create>New primitive, slect it, and then use Daz Studio Formats>your content library>Scripts>Utilities>CreateAdvanced Iray Node Properties, then in Parameters turn on Enable Iray Matte (in the Display group) and render, saving as tiff or png

Sorry, again I forgot to mention that this is for 3delight. Will this work for him?

  • In that case you want pwCatch.

I tried it with Iray and this is what happened.(Forgot to remove the plate)
Is it possible to remove this thick shadow and stuff? I need nothing behind the panel. Ideally a little hand shadow.

  • Can this result be achieved?
(So that the panel hides the legs, and extra shadows.)

  • No, sorry - I was looking at a simpler case. The Matte is meant for integrating renders with background images, so it acts as a shadow-catcher.
