Beginning to make animations

I want to start doing some animations. Does anyone know a good tutorial for that?

For example, I would like to know how to make the model move hips, but without moving feet. Ie make some body parts stay static.

Thanks in advance.

I'm learning by trial and error. There are both general animation tutorials and those specific to Daz Studio. I'd recomment getting Keymate and even Graphmate as they enable more fine tuning of keyframes.

AniMation is a Full Collage type course, what you can learn from a Tutorial is just the very Basic's. And it really all depends on how the user wishes to learn as to what to first look into. Example will the AniMate2 plugin be used or will the DAZ Studio key frames on the time line be the main style worked with? Will Poser files be used or will BVH files be used. Animation is a huge topic and there are many different ways it can be approached. To really help we would need to know which type of animation is of interest to you first.
I personally use AniMate2 and AniBlocks as a stating point. I then go from there to the DAZ Studio Time line and use KeyMate and GraphMate for touching up and corrections. I even use Poser PZ2 Animation and BVH files as needed to get some motions I'm in need of. So just pointing to one starting method to even get another started is not a easy thing to do. It really comes down to which method of working will be the one the person wants to explore first.
I suggest AniMate2 as it is free to use for 30 days in DAZ Studio and then becomes AniMate Lite until purchased. The use of AniBlocks to build a set of motions and then record those is the fastest and easiest to do the first time for any user in my view. There are a few Free AniBlocks in the DAZ 3D store to play with beyond those that come default. So buying anything can be put off until you have looked at what it does.

    Thanks for responding.

In fact, I already have experience using Poser with graph display for make animations. I was unaware graphmate, so finally there is something familiar to me :)

And I already discovered the use of Inverse Kinematics for make something like this:

Ah good, then GraphMate will really help you along, as would Keymate. I love both for different reasons but both can pretty much do what the other does but not the same way. I'm now used to using both, wait I forget if GraphMate allows me to move the key frames or not now. Well that's why I use Keymate lol. Both very handy tools we so needed.
