V4 vs V6
I notice that when I look for stuff on the market, there is much more availability for V4 than for V6.
More often than not I cannot use some clothing because it is designed for V4 or Genesis 1.
Now I am thinking about buying victoria 4 so I can use those things as well but when I look at the renders from V4 I am not really convinced about the quality. V6 seems a little more realistic.
So I was wondering if I should buy V4 figures and stuff or I should just keep with V6 and wait until they release more stuff?
On renderosity there is also almost nothing available for genesis 2.

V4 has been around a long time. Longer than any other generation of female. Because many poser users do not like the extra hoops they have to jump through (to use Genesis/2), new stuff is still being made for V4 and it looks like that will be true for a while. If you like Genesis 2, you might look at the options that let you use V4 clothing on her.
Victoria 4 was the base figure for DAZ's generation 4 female figures. Genesis 2 Female (G2F) is the base figure for generation 6 female figures, not Victoria 6. You should search for G2F compatible clothing for maximum results.
Most V4 clothing will Autofit to the Genesis 1 figure, except shoes some work well others not so much at all. You then Save the AutoFited V4 clothing as a Genesis version, that is done by selecting the clothing item in the Scene Tab and doing File>Save As>Support Asset>Figure/Prop Asset. You then load your G2F and load that new version, it will then Autofit to the G2F. All Genesis clothing will just AutoFit with just loading it to the G2 Figure. As Noted though Autofit is not perfect but it does do well on some items, thus you can use most clothing from the Generation 4 figures all the way up to the Generation 6 figures if you wish too. Some things in the store are even sold to help improve how Autofit works. I use it a good bit myself and find it acceptable for most content I use.
As the others said... In my humble opinion, the best thing about DS is the ease of using older items on newer figures. To autofit V4 stuff to Gen2F, you'll need V4 for Gen2F product (as a rule of thumb, M4 for Gen2M will let you use M4 things on Gen2M). If you aren't going to use Poser AND you're just starting out (meaning you don't have much content), I think sticking to Genesis and Gen2F/Gen2M is a better option than V4. Sure, there are vendors who cater for V4 only (or nearly only) like Thorne, but with Gen2X, transferring morphs adds great flexibility. I have a feeling it is one of the most needed utilities when mixing generations.
