Borg-Like Components

Think I suggested this a long while ago, but it's been a fair while...

Borg-like components to create mix-and-match cyborg Genesis 1 and 2 characters: Mechanical/electronic props which conform to the torso, abdomen, limbs, head, etcetera... If some of them allow for wrist/shoulder-mounted guns/blades, then so much the better. :) And don't forget the potential for things like bundles of cables to represent cybernetic hair!

Obviously, for limbs, being able to have mirrored sets of each different style of component would be desirable, so that people can be free to create character which have symmetry or asymmetrical designs.

Of course, a mechanical tail and/or robotic spider-like limbs mounted on the back would be especially impressive.

Would imagine something like that would go especially well when combined with several of Midnight Stories' basic clothing sets.

I don't use DS or Genesis so this may be entirely worthless.

There are plenty of borg items out there for M3/V3 and M4/V4. For the most part, these items can be fitted to Genesis or Genesis 2 the same way as any other clothing.

There are plenty of free ones so that you don't even have to spend any money to find out.

I've... Not had the best of luck with retrofitting things which aren't meant for the models in question.

Some do very well like the M4 Cyber set and others do very bad, this has also been my issue. And of course its the one thing you really want to use that goes bad no matter how you transfer it.

I second the need for more of this type of content for Genesis and the G2's. It would help me out greatly.

I've been wondering this. I want to add cybernetic/robotic elements to an artwork I'm starting. I've noticed a pack called Cyber Borgs, for V3, M3 and the Freak 3. Would these work with Genesis 2?

Failing that, and if the Victoria 4 designed props and figures don't work with Genesis 2, how do you make your own? I'm a serious novice 3D modeller, so this might take a while.

Failing Failing this, is there any content anywhere which will work with Genesis 2 or Genesis?:-)

    Please, all help is appreciated.

M4/ V4 items/clothes will work on Genesis 2s. One way to do that is to load them onto M4/V4 first and save them as a material preset to get them to load on Genesis 2. it wants .duf file formats.

    Thanks for that.

Will textures designed for V4 characters, such as Felicia, work in the same way, please?

Sort of but there are a couple of products involved

    http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female

That gives you a Genesis 2 version of the V4 UV, a V4 autofit, and her basic shape you can apply to the G2 figure. However you would still need to load the texture onto V4 first and save it as a .material preset to convert it to .duf.

If you have a lot of textures to convert over you might want to invest in this:

    http://www.daz3d.com/v4-skins-batch-converter-to-genesis-2-female-s

It allows you to do multiples at once. Its a time saver if you have lot of content.

    Thanks Vhardamis.

I'll try these and let you know how they work out.
