Hello,

how can I make a pane permanently undockable?

    Don't close them, that way it'll be added to the layout.dsx as a separate pane when you close DS, and it'll stay like that the next time you open DS.

    If you want them to open undocked then I don't think you can, probably looking at a rewrite of the interface code for that.
