Install for regular user

Hi,
New user here. I tried searching for this information but I just can't seem to get the correct search results (or maybe no one has asked before). If I missed it, please just tell me how you searched and found it and/or a link. If not there, I'd appreciate any help or advice.
Running WIndows 7, installing the free 64-bit version of DAZ 3D Studio Pro (4.6 I believe).
I ran the DAZ Installer and installed Studio. During installation, Windows asked for my admin id and password and I provided it. After installing, I then went back to Installer and installed some the recommended items like Genesis starter and such.
I then tried to run Studio as a user. Everything looked good until I tried to use an Actor. Then I got a message about missing content. I then logged in as the admin and ran DAZ 3D and it worked perfectly. I got a message at the beginning stating content was found in My Documents for the Admin and asking me to have it added to the background database service (which did not happen when I ran as a regular user). I was able to add an actor.
Finally, I went back in as a regular user and still had an issue (I didn't expect it to work since I did not get the popup about adding the content to the database and because the regular user does not have access to the admin's My Documents folder). So obviously I did not install this correctly (or DAZ was not made to be run by a regular user). So what is the correct way to install the software so that a regular Windows user can access the content.
Is this not supported by the free studio version and I have to run as admin (I hate doing that)?
Do I have to not use the Installer and instead install everything manually and change folders during installation?
I'm unsure of how to proceed.
Thanks for any help,

Maybe somebody knows a better shortcut to fix whatever you've done ... but this is what I would try doing in such a case:
Read last paragraph first.
Start > all programs > somewhere under Daz3d > turn off CMS
Control panel > deinstall CMS then deinstall D/S
If by 'regular user' you mean that said account has limited access ... then login to Windows using an Admin account.
From the Admin account, on the installer, right-click "run as Admin" ... I don't recall ever being asked for login info ... but anyway ... install 'for all users'. That may put the content folder for additional content under Documents in the public users section [I think the DIM defaults to that for a storage location].
Upon opening D/S, you may need to set the pathways so the program can find the content.
? not sure which installer you are referring to.
I installed D/S manually BY running the D/S installer.
Others use DIM to install it. If using DIM, yes make sure it's set to install to the correct locations [usually the default settings are correct for most users AFAIK]
IF you used DIM to install, then use DIM to uninstall.
By default DIM will install to the Shared Documents/Public Documents folder so there shouldn't be an issue with access to content.
Thanks for the reply. OK. To answer your main question, I meant the DAZ Install Manager or DIM.
So I thought i would try this again. I uninstalled everything using DIM. I then uninstalled the content manager service and DIM. So I would start clean. I logged in as Administrator, installed DIM (along with content manager service) and ran DIM. I installed Studio. Then I installed the other items.
Now, logging in as user, I can see the different models and open them without error messages, so something different about the install this time caused Studio files to be installed in the shared location. But, still having an issue. When running Studio as Administrator, the installed items are sectioned off into their type. For example if I click on Figures->People, all I see are the actors. When I login as a user and do the same, I see the packs, I then open them and I see everything, not just actors.
So Administrator is correctly getting items placed in the correct categories, but a regular user is not. Something is still off with the install. This time I lean towards the service not having the correct database, but I don't see anything that allows me to reset the database to see if that helps.
Thanks for any ideas you can give.
Well I played around and noticed the screen itself for the user did not look quite right. So I looked at the layout and though Hollywood was already set, I reselected it and then everything worked correctly. So not sure what happened but it looks cleared up for now.
Yeah, sometimes quirky little things happen and we'll bounce from one layout back to the desired one and all is well again.
