Autofit Mage Robe on Genesis1

Hello,
I hope someone can help me.
I bought "The Mage" for M4 recently.
The robe looks really good when I load it into my Daz 4.6 but when I add my Genesis Male and use autofit a weird bulge is created at the bottom of the item (see screenshot).
It doesn't matter if the figure is there first or the robe. I tried to use different settings with Autofit but it is always the same. Is there any way that I can make the bulge go away?
It only appears in the front of the robe. The back looks alright.

I don't have M4 but usually Genesis takes the clothing items well nonetheless.

Any insight would be helpful.

Sigrid

The problem is that AutoFit tries to maintain the relationship between the clothing and the original figure when it transfers to the new figure - since the M4 feet point down in the zero pose and the Genesis feet don't it tweaks the mesh up, with the results you see. You could reshape the mesh in a modeller and load as a morph that you would leave permanently on - you could also see if a smoothing modifier on the robe would help.

Would Sickleyield's tunic rig stuff help here?

Although this isn't a very good workaround, I did once load a second copy of a V4 dress that didn't autofit well enough, hid it's top, hid the bottom of the badly-autofit dress on Genesis, and overlapped the two so the autofit top lined up with the non-autofit (and thus non-distorted) bottom half. It really only worked because of the angle and lighting, however if you don't find a better solution, it's perhaps worth a try.

Thanks for the explanation, Richard. I am not sure if I would be able to create a morph. I have several tutorials on that but I didn't try it yet.

Do you have a link to that tunic rig stuff, Celia?

Sean, thank you for the tip. I could try that. I also thought of hiding the bottom of the wizard behind a table or something but that would be quite limiting my options.

Since it is a bought item I will probably give it back.
Does anyone know of a wizard robe for Genesis1 Male? There is one for Genesis2 and for M4 and M3 in the shop but I haven't found anything for Genesis1.

Sickle Rigging and Morphing System would almost certainly help. I've used it in similar situations with good results. Keep in mind that it's not a "one-click" solution, but it does come with good instructions.

(SickleYield also has a product called Sickle Tunic Rig but it's for Genesis 2 Male, not for Genesis. I'm not sure which of these cecilia was referring to)

As far as wizard robes for Genesis 1 go, some of the Platinum Club clothes, Royal Elf, for instance, might work. SickleYield (again!) has a nice robe for Genesis 1 for sale at Renderosity, too. Street Mage is another possibility, as is Old Man Rex Clothing. Probably some others I'm forgetting, too.

try using the transfer utility with it on a dress with handles instead of genesis.
    MFD for Genesis good.
then save as support asset figure clothes to reuse on Genesis.

Well, that didn't work either. The problem is, as soon as I load the robe on anything else than Genesis the hem stays as it should but the shoulders are too big and the sleeves don't fit on the arms.

As a solution I bought the Royal Elf robe and my mage will be wearting this one. I even managed to keep the Mage Robe sleeves by making the robe transparent and leaving just the sleeves visible. It's not perfect but it will work with a bit of postwork until I am able to rig and weightmap and such things.

Thank you all for your help.
