  • A .pz2 is a Poser file. Even if it is being used for mateials (as many were, back in the day) it should still work.

Thank you Richard :-) but it doesn't ... I know what the file is , it just won't show as a material , I was wondering if there was a way to convert it so that I could use it :-)
even exporting it it proved a little too difficuly for me ... btw I'm on a iMac with Yosemaite and Poser 11 pro ;-)

  • Have you tried just chnaging the extension, to .mc6 (.mcz is the compressed version)?

When you say "it won't show as a material", what do you mean exactly? That it won't appear in materials library, or in the material room? pz2 MATs are used from the "Pose" library, not the material room.

Changing the extension might be enough to make it appear in the material room. IIRC Poser uses the extension only to decide what appears where, not how the file is used, but if changing the extension is not enough there's a tutorial to manually convert mc6 to pz2 here, it can probably be used in reverse to convert a pz2 into a mc6.
